Very good point. I never liked the whole 'GWOT' idea, it was never really global (i.e. we weren't fighting in Anatarctica), we never actually declared war nor were we fighting all terrorists (we never fought the LTTE, one of the largest terror orgs in the world). Like you said fighting terrorism is a pretty vauge concept and this name change is a more accurate term.
Contrary to that, I like the concept and wish that "the war on drugs" was fought with as much fervor as GWOT, I think the problems we have seen going on in Mexico and other similar nations (Columbia) also present a security problem for terrorism.
