Bungle, this is a seriously bigoted point of view.
Not really. Public drunkenness and the chaos it causes are big problems in the UK......and a lot of UK people take the problem with them elsewhere. It's national embarrassment as far as I'm concerned.

The trick is, to discover what amount takes one beyond tipsy but well before wasted. Tipsy to just beyond is a the real fun zone of drinking, beyond that you just become accident prone or pissed.(american meaning) If you are going to sporting events and at least not achieving tipsy, you are missing the eff out.
I don't think so. If you need to get drunk to enjoy an event you're probably at the wrong place. In the UK alcohol is banned at football stadiums because of exactly the problems I described
