Default Who here has an LCD or DLP HT projector?
Been using my 720p Sony VPL-HS60 since 2006.
The lamp now got 3000 hours and I'm getting the dreaded "change lamp" message.

Basically, while I could change the lamp and the filter for ~£200, I'm gonna go all the way and get a new projector.

I was thinking about the Panasonic PT-AT5000E (PT-AE7000U for our American friends) as it's got very good reviews... but I just read that Panasonic will probably announce the successor model (mostly small fixes, no revolutionary changes) at the upcoming September CEDIA Expo. In any case it should be a nice upgrade going from "HD ready" to full HD + 3D with improved black levels, contrast, and brightness... the whole shabang.

Arguably the Panny is one of the best home theatre projectors in the £2000-3000 range... Does anyone have any experience to share? I was skeptical on the 3D thing, but it seems to be working well for existing users...
