Setting the stage for a sequel is more then just showing a few Easter eggs. When you have characters have complete opposite actions then what is prescribed in previous films, thats called a plot hole. The ones in the series are pretty ****ing big.

They "set the stage" for a sequel because there was going to be one, you tool. Jesus christ, why are some people on here so thick? If you believe that there was plot holes then that's fine, but trying to make out it was because there was only meant to be one film is making you look incredibly stupid.
