What advantage does AppleTV have over this?

That doesn't have Hulu or iTunes.

You have to run a PC... with iTunes.

There is no Netflix, no hulu, no third parties. Just iTunes.

The interface on the WD is perfect for what it does. It can connect to local drives, network drives, and third party streaming services.

Think about it, think (for yourself) about it.
