Isn't that a great feature to have ? For a tablet with the quality and power of the Nexus 7. It offers something other Android tablets don't offer. It is a great feature to have. Saying that the Nexus 7 is better than the other tablets and that maybe in the future we'll see other tablets that can match the Nexus 7 at a larger size is simply incorrect, since there are plenty of tablets that exceed it in every way possible - but of course they also cost more.

I would have loved to pick up a Nexus 7 myself - but it lacked some features that I think are a must have for a tablet. Expandable storage is one of them and an HDMI port is great if you travel a lot and want to hook it up to the TV at a hotel for instance.
