Which doesn't exclude you from the "nobody said xy" claim.

It is a great feature to have. Saying that the Nexus 7 is better than the other tablets and that maybe in the future we'll see other tablets that can match the Nexus 7 at a larger size is simply incorrect, since there are plenty of tablets that exceed it in every way possible - but of course they also cost more.

I would have loved to pick up a Nexus 7 myself - but it lacked some features that I think are a must have for a tablet. Expandable storage is one of them and an HDMI port is great if you travel a lot and want to hook it up to the TV at a hotel for instance.
Apple's shear dominance in the tablet market is more attributed to superior software than hardware. With the Nexus 7, Google has proven that they can compete in the software arena with JB 4.1. Before ICS, Google's OS still struggled to offer the streamlined and fluid experience IOS gave its users, which held back a lot of quality Tablets that had very nice hardware inside. With the success of the Nexus 7, I foresee Google being more aggressive in the market, and providing a Tablet that will give the iPad a run for its money. If they release a 10" version of the Nexus with a high resolution screen, expandable storage, and the same fantastic construction as the Nexus 7 (and for less than $500), it will sell like crazy.
