Considering that I am writing this from my tegra3 based android tablet, I can assure you, I know what the nexus is and isn't capable of. With that said, it seriously lacks in some departments compared to other android tablets, and price aside, it really isn't groundbreaking at all... It is a solid little tablet at an awesome price though.
Another department it is lacking in is quality control. There are issues with bad grounds on the headphone jack and separating screens. One person in this very thread was struck by the screen issue.


I still don't see anyone else mentioning miracle tablets, just you being dismissive.

The Nexus can compete on price and that's what the comment was probably about. It's not an iPad thankfully, but the specs are still very good and can do most things the iPad can and some things it can't simply because it's not using iOS, this for less than half the price sounds pretty good too me.

Not everyone wants an iPad, I certainly don't.
Yes, we know, you very much dislike Apple.
