It's not missing that much, just the obvious features like sdcard, hdmi out, and rear camera.

Have you tried buying tablets for £150 before? the experience is not great, there are allot of dodgy Android tablets out there. Having one from Google at least guaranties a certain level of quality.

I had a Transformer Prime briefly, sold it because it was just collecting dust.

No I haven't. I bought one for about double that - because the lack of an SDCard and the HDMI out was a deal breaker for me. 8GB on a tablet really isn't a lot.
