IIRC MJ is the only drug that keeps being detectable in blood for up to 3 months after smoking it, other drugs only take a few days to completely disappear from the system.

Dead people don't have metabolisms. I do concede that there are drugs that will decay fast enough to not be picked up though, but for the most part, if he was on other things, they would show up in a tox screen.
