just so u all know ive driven every type of bike put here from bikes that was just for raceing and wasnt legal on the streets to mopeds i cab drive em all it has been awhile but i can drive anybike long as it aint to tall since im sort

I guess it really depends how much you need one and how much money you have for one. A 10+ mile walk is pretty damn long. Also, if you'll need transportation in winter/cold weather or if you just live in a warm weather area. I have seen some people here ride bikes in the winter... I think they're crazy, but some do (Winter here it regularly gets into the 20's, and sometimes below). I can image if you're only going ~5 miles and not much over 40mph in the winter, with the right clothing it wouldn't be bad as long as the roads are safe (no snow/ice).
