I feel for you. It's a terrible dilemma too - opiates slow your intestinal motility, so the more pain relief you get, the less your bowels will be likely to move, the more pain you'll have. It's a pretty nasty thing to be dealing with. But just hang on, and you'll pull through just fine.
Is there a possibility of going on an insoluble fiber overload to help with the lack of peristalsis in the colon while on opiates?
