I only use Hawk HPS pads for the past 6+ years. Lovem

As for rotors... What ever is cheap works fine to me. But I use cross drilled rotors.

note: I dont buy from there, I buy from a guy on the mazda forums but he only stocks mazda models. He sells the front pads for 89 bucks normally.
HPS pads good.

Drilled rotors bad.

Rotors that aren't cast with holes /slots already IN them are weakened by the drilling process. They tend to crack/warp far easier than a good quality blank rotor. You really only need drilled/slotted rotors if you are running an organic type pad, semi-metallic or ceramic based pads do not out-gas under heat like organic pads did back 40s and 50s. In fact, drilled rotors reduce the available surface area for a brake rotor to act as a heat sink. Which is exactly what rotors do, act as heat sinks.

I order all of my brake parts in advance from SummitRacing if they carry them for my car. I tend to stick to the quality brands like Raybestos and stuff like that.

But in reality. 90% of the cars on the road will be happy with the auto-zoo cheapies if they aren't towing, or looking for a performance brake application.

And if anyone wants to dispute drilled rotors we can make a different thread for that.
