Eh, maybe temporarily but at that point someone would get rich off of solar power. Did you know more energy from the sun hits the Earth in an hour versus the entire world oil supply? Sounds like BS, but it was from Michio Kaku.

Everyone knows about the potential of free energy, however the trading of oil is so interwined within the world econonmy to remove it suddenly would cause a collapse unlike anything we have known before. However don't worry, people like the Rockerfellers will keep drip feeding us on black gold for many more years and thus keep world economy dependent on it like a drug.
