Auto-X is basically driving around cones in a car park and recording a time

Well, that's the American name and version where you're going a lot faster and they've got the large areas to allow it.
In the UK they're called autotests and here motokhanas - you'd barely get out of first gear on these and they're a lot tighter.

I've done something similar to the US version, but on a field so it was sort of like an autocrass as well - mostly I've done the motokhana thing and I must say they're a lot of fun - if you get serious, you'd be well advised to get a spare set of tyres/wheels, though, even though sliding is usually slower..
