And then you put cameras on Corner B until there is nowhere left for them to go and they have to do it indoors. Yes it is working by keeping the crime off the streets, making the area safer. You will never stop crime, drug-dealing and so forth; but forcing them indoors is the best compromise for locals.

Yeah, very shortsighted. Although crime will forever happen, I'm glad that there is a better possibility of people being caught as they were followed by cameras, not having to totally rely on people seeing what happened or intimidated witnesses.

A lot of the ANPR cameras just catch uninsured drivers. I bet if you got hit by one you'd be fuming.
Your two points are self-defeating. You say crime will forever happen yet this will somehow doing something to curb it?

No it won't. This is just precious coming from such a defeatist nanny state nation that Britain has become.

You can stop drug dealing pretty easily which will stop most murders but most governments are not going to take the step.
