There's no marginalisation, here. Those same workers might never have been inspired to build shit, were it not for the grand vision of some higher directive figure. But that's tangential. The point was that, using this pen, I might easily wield a scope of influence far beyond that which your sword could ever achieve. Hence it being mightier. Of course, context is a factor. As for the other, you couldn't rightly expect today's youth to have inherited the same work ethic as that possessed by the previous generation. Not with their greater appreciation and awareness of the wider world. Kids don't think they're 'owed' anything. That's a bullshit myth. They simply won't settle for less. And indeed, why should they?
