We'll have to disagree on that.. I can't imagine that an Iranian national oil company is somehow less preferable to the situation in which we now find ourselves.

I'm just tired of all of it.. China has made great inroads, and they've done it without the ability, or even the need, to project global force.

I'd prefer to go that direction.

Nonsense. Without the US experiences to learn from.. the Chinese would have stepped right the fuck in it had the shoe been on the other foot. They enjoy their relationships as a direct result of American influence. My point is that the resurgence of muslim fundamentalism was a go no matter what.
