1) Liberals plan the utopian city.

2) Everybody of substance and means gets the hell out of there as fast as possible.

3) City turns to shithole.

4) Liberals are confused.

5) Rinse and repeat, ad infinitum.

Homosexuals with disposable income re-built the post-modern city(sectors of it). They did pretty well, if you're into antiques, bistros and fancy rebuilds. There's a high priced condominium on the site of a little live music venue I used to tend bar at on the Lower East Side. It was nigger free. I stumbled through the Lower East and every part of downtown at 4 A.M. without predicament. Of course, it was post-Giuliani.
