There is no stasis in human affairs. This is a fundamental truth. Life cannot, and will not, be reduced to a snapshot in time. It shall proceed, and despite any effort to arrest it's momentum. One cannot stem the flow. To attempt it is vanity. And the product is misery.

Both Liberals and Conservatives fail to comprehend this. Or if they do not, they pretend it is otherwise.

No excess. No limitation. Only continuum.

But the power of government should be restrained to a "snapshot in time"

Because, history is filled with examples of what happens if you do not.. And we're finite beings. We're here for only an instant.

We have a natural right to function without undue interference from our servants..

If you let them go, they forget this.. They start thinking WE'RE the servants and they're the Lords..

It's a dangerous condition that can diminish, or even ruin outright, the lives of generations before it is checked.. IF it is checked.
