If we all just followed our own narrow self interest, without any regard for the common good and the consequences of our actions.. America wouldn't be here in the form it is today..

It wouldn't look a bit like it does..

Why is this responsibility not incumbent on profit seeking corporations?

We need profit and sustenance too..

And I agree that it's bad when individuals put their own narrow self interest ahead of the nation and their neighbors..

But it's just as bad when these corps do it..
