Assalamu alaikum ww

It is with great sorrow that we received the news of the passing of Maulana Ahmad Garda ra of South Africa from South Africa on Eid day

The thought crossed my mind that had we came to know of him prior to his passing away, we would have tried to get as much benefit from him as possible, as we know that there are no students of Allamah Uthmani (ra) who are still alive.

The purpose of this thread is to attempt to gather details of our Akaabir/Buzurgs/Shuyookh who are still alive and around us so that we may know about them and take benefit from them, maybe even gaizning ijaazah in Qur'an/Hadith from them..
