And also JazakAllah Khair for all the replies. It is a slow and long process but Insha Allah I'll get out from the other end defeating this bad habit!

Have you ever thought about trying some self help CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy)? It may help you to look at your anger from a different viewpoint.

Have a look at how anger becomes a vicious circle and Insha Allah you will find a way to overcome these feelings towards your mother.
