Even that type of "parrot reading" will earn the reciter hasanat Yeah, but the Qur'an is a book of guidance, and guidance comes from knowing what it says. As a child, I could recite all these verses of Qur'an, but if anyone asked me what the Quran was about I would not have been able to answer. Don't you think that's sad?

How many of you have read complete Qur'an in your native language (translation that is) ? I've read the English meaning. The whole Qur'an I think, or nearly all.
