LEARN ENGLISH LANGUAGE THROUGH ISLAMIC STUDIES:
''Al Ashartu Mubashirun:
Ten companions were given assurance of entering Paradise.
They
include
Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Abdur Rahman ibn Awf, Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah,
Talhah ibn Ubaydullah, Zubayr ibn al-Awwam, Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, and Sa'id ibn Zayd.''

Customer to the Waiter: Get a roasted chicken.
Waiter: OK, sir!
The waiter gets the roasted chicken and places it on the table.
Finding the chicken rather sooty in colour the customer says (complainingly): Oh! The chicken looks horrible; remove it from the table. I
want
the manager.
The waiter replies: ‘’Sir, the Manager is not on our menu.’’
What is wrong with this piece of conversation?
The way the bold part 'want' used here implies that the manager is wanted on the table in the place of chicken??
Allahu alam
