Why feel sad? This is called one reaping what they sow. Their daughters are spoilt to the point they would not cook any food whilst there husbend at work and the husbend are spine less practicing muslims who can't stand up to their wives, mothers or their sisters. They have no islamic ethos in their lifes but superfical display of religiosity.
On top of that these practicing families prefer everything artificial and emulates even the food habit of others where as looking down at their parents staple diet.
Once I came across a sylheti family whose mother hates cooking as it would make her kitchen dirty and prefers to eat friend chicken... This is a new money syndrome of practicing families.
If this is the case with so called practicing muslims, to expect the non practicing muslims do something different is unrealistic.
