As-salamu ´alaykum,

They are the Habashis, the Tariqa of Shaykh Abdallah Al-Harrary Al-Habashy (rahimahu'Allah). They are Ash'ari in Aqidah, Rifa'i in Tariqa. The Shaykh (rahimahu'Allah) was Shafi'i in Fiqh. There group has come off as takfiri due to their approach towards certain individuals. You will find that a lot of people are hostile towards them, however most of the things that are attributed to them are false or very exagerated etc.

My suggestion would be to take the good and leave the bad.

PS. No I am not a Habashi (in case anyone wonders in regards to my Rifa'i affiliation lol)
