Wa aleykum salam
What is youre point? That people shouldnt do any act of worship except for the obligatory and read Quran? Why did the Prophet sall Allah aleihi wa sallam bother teaching us adhkar for evening and morning if it was better to read Quran?

If you dont want to make dhikr thats fine, but dont prevent other people from the baraka of the awrad.

Imam Nawawi says in his book al-Adhkar, "The Book of Hajj":

ومذهب الشافعي وجماهيرُ أصحابه أنه يُستحبّ قراءةُ القرآن في الطواف لأنه موضعُ ذكر‏.‏ وأفضلُ الذكر قراءةُ القرآن‏.‏ واختار أبو عبد اللّه الحليمي من كبار أصحاب الشافعي أنه لا يُستحبّ قراءة القرآن فيه، والصحيحُ هو الأول‏.‏ قال أصحابُنا‏:‏ والقراءةُ أفضلُ من الدعوات غير المأثورة، وأما المأثورةُ فهي أفضل من القراءة على الصحيح‏.‏ وقيل‏:‏ القراءة أفضل منها‏.‏
