Glenn Greenwald is a Zionist Jew. His main concern is the protection of Israel. Asad regime is one of the great allies of Israel in that region.

US is not going to intervene in Syria to overthrow Asad regime. US will definitely involve directly if it feels that the Syrian Sunni Muslims are getting upper hand and the security of the Israeli border across the Golan height is threatened (not by asad regime!).

Are we both watching the same events unfold in Syria? Just where does this "free syrian army" get is weapons from?

At the end of the day though, its the muslims on the ground that suffer, both beligerents here are not looking out for the best interests of the muslims.
