They look very Negroid to me on average. It's mostly the hype on Anthroforums that they aren't negroid. They're mostly Negroid but some sections have significant Caucasian admixture as well. I've seen ones that look very caucasoid, like Haile Selassie.

Haile is old school but I prefer the term ethiopid instead. This is also about Ethiopian children, the young modern generation.

Lol, what is this thread all about? Are you implying the new generation of Ethiopians are getting blacker?

Ethiopia is a very big country which is multi ethnic and not just one ethnicity. Tropical african features which are more typical of west and central africans are obviously found in the area what is now called ethiopia. However mostly its in the south and south central parts of the country. This is due to nilo saharan probably from sudan) admixture.

The "caucasoid" looking (for lack of a better word) ethiopians are mostly in the north of the country.

Is Addis south central?

There is no such thing as genetic Negroid, or if you want to look at it another way, there are at least 14 different ways to be genetically SSA.

So how many ways applies to young Ethiopians now?
