Yip, same old cultural stuff, and I thought muslims would be different...Not.

Generally Muslims can marry any Muslim however I have heard old school scholars say it is better for the marriage if one marries a person from their own status group, ethnicity etc. as going out of these puts more of a strain on a marriage.
