I've heard this also and sorry but I do not agree with this stance. I have seen ethnic asians marry western 'converts', no problem, alhamdulIllah.

Alhamdulillah, you do not have to agree, the scholars were writing in the 1940s in India, so they might hold different views now if they were still alive...but some people may still agree with the scholar...the point is it is not necessarily a bad thing or racism if some Muslims choose to remain within their own ethnicity.
