Mawlana Ahmad Garda

was brought to South Africa in 1949 by the Pretoria North community. He was the only ustadh at the maktab and initially there where about 30 children which later increased to several hundred. He is Ustadh al-Asaatizah and many of his students went to become successful in various professions including deen, many of his maktab students who became 'Ulama later thought with him at the maktab. He served ONE community for over 4 decades. He was a fatherly figure to the Laudium community. He particularly had very good relations with Hadhrat Mawlana Ahmad Hathurani

It is said he could easily do 100 push-ups right up to his 70's and 80's.
