...I always thought the Prophet s.a.s had the best character of all prophets not that he endured the most difficult hardships. He had a large discipleship which made his work easier than other prophets but certainly his character was most exceptional of all prophets.

No doubt that Prophet Muhammad s'

character was the most exceptional out of all of mankind.

However, though I am not able to locate the exact hadith for you right now, I remember reading one hadith where the Prophet

said (something to the effect of) that if the difficulties & hardships faced by him (SAW) were placed on one pan of a scale and the difficulties & hardships faced by all the other Prophets (peace be upon them all) combined were placed on the other pan of the scale; that Prophet Muhammad s'

difficulties would outweigh the other.

Also, the "large discipleship" only came after well over a decade of effort, extreme hardships and difficulties, it wasn't just 'handed' to him

and the history behind the deen which he

brought to us by the grace of Allah
