If its possibly illegal then you have a problem sister, coz you dont have redress by law. Otherwise, if your country allows such kind of "evesdropping" then the school and the head does not need to hide the Cameras.
Also parents would be happy that their children are being monitored closely but in your case you say it is being misused.
You must confront them but remember if you do then it might also work against you.
