Even i had same experience

Before some months back I have gone for interview and the client is from saudi arabia Dammam I have applied for Human Resource Officer
When I entered to client cabin he simply said to me we have already filled up vacancies then I had word with counselling person who called me up for Interview the that lady had word with client
when she came back from client cabin she said client don't want person who is having beard I was shocked the person who is living in Saudi Arabia how can he refused beard person I feel very bad my self the main thing was that there is no lot deeni work that's the reason the prophet country is also behaving like non muslim's

As my prophet said Mafum :- "we should not speak bad about Arab people"
so i came back feeling that this is my fault I din't did work for deen that's the reason all things are happening around the world include Saudi and other gulf country also
But I wanted meet that client for giving dawah but they won't allowed me and even I din't tried a lot. so I came back

O Allah please give me hidayat and for whole ummah also ....
