But if you watch the video by the Shaykh (which Acacia and Starting_anew like) the point is made that pig is not forbidden because of the worm?

By telling the disbeliever why you don't eat pig implies that he shouldn't be eating pig either because of the hygiene issue? He will reply but if you cook it properly it's fine - it was back then when pig couldn't be preserved properly, etc and to why Jews and Muslims don't eat it?
