Oldgoldandblue, I'm involved with the archive and we know that some people simply don't have anything. We are encouraging people to ask their mates, their rellies and anyone they can think of to see if they have tapes/DVDs. In the meantime, we're putting clips on youtube for you all to enjoy and we do plan to put entire chunks of footage up on youtube at some stage in the future. The problem, as we see it, is that we want the archive to grow and nobody will be bothered digging out their old tapes unless there is a reward - ie footage for them in return. And, despite the massive number of requests, we cant sell anything because we dont own copyright. The last thing any of us want is to step on the toes of the TV stations and put the whole thing in peril.
Anyway, I can only urge you to ask around and see what you can come up with. At the moment, we are taking anything pre-2005. We are really only interested in pre-1995, but we thought that would be a good way of opening things up a bit more...
