That percentage is including the black and the mulatto population...If we were to just have the black population I think the US would be more.

Brazil:

Population: 190,732,694

Black: 6.84%

Mulatto/Multiracial: 43.80%

Black population: 13,046,116

USA:

Population: 308,745,538

Black: 13.6%

Black Population: 42,020,743
