I think using a forbidden insult as an internalized term of endearment is retarded, and I'm happy to see at least some self-respecting black people agree. I can imagine some older conservative black man who grew up in segregation, out in public somewhere, see some young black and Mexican kids talking about nigga this and nigga that, and wanting to slap the shit out of them.
you honkies just can't understand. its about reclaiming the word or whatever.. i know the fact that you can use a word to describe yourself and close friends and even white people you are friendly with as a term of endearment and at the same time want to physically attack said white friend or anyone of a similar skin color who uses it is completely lacking in logic, but you can't use logic with an issue like this. there is no logical thinking behind it we (as i, a white person, have decided in my infinite wisdom to speak for every and all black people on this subject.lol.) just like having a word that you can't say because it makes us feel more powerful. we own something you can never possibly obtain ever.

this is my idea of the thinking behind the use of the word among blacks/hispanics etc.

on a similar note.
