The most dangerous U.S. cities are all diverse. But remember diversity is our strength.
I beg to differ. The most dangerous U.S. cities are usually more homogeneous and occupied by a large underclass and a working poor population. These cities usually have large majorities of impoverished African Americans unable to escape the mire due to social, political, or economic reasons. Other ethnic groups may also be notably present but they are usually the minorities. This is generally called the "post-industrial pattern." Newark, NJ, Baltimore, MA, St. Louis, MO, and New Orleans, LA are all great examples of the phenomenon.
