The glass of water methaphor, by Margaret Thatcher. None has learnt from her.

Either there is an actual transcript or some kind of article about this supposed speech or metaphor by Margret Thatcher (who was Amigos with General Pinochet, she liked how he "brought Democracy to Chile") or this is pure bullshit. You cant just claim she had a glass of water metaphor and not provide any kind of verification of it. The thread you linked to provides absolutely no evidence for a glass of water metaphor by Margaret Thatcher. You didn't even address the concerns of Zvit in that thread. We just have your hearsay to go on. She had some anti-immigration and anti-multiculturalist views but that is a different matter.

Maybe she was left flabbergasted that you actually asked her such stupid questions using your false ideas that have no basis in reality. Maybe for some people it doesn't matter were you come from, in other words they will judge people as individuals and not collectively. Some people also don't feel threatened by a few new immigrants moving into their area.

I guess the opinion from the most of English are not like this.
