this is bullshit and the state government should step in or something. For christ sake the only people that are going to watch the abc on a saturday arvo are people that want to watch the wafl. how expensive can the broadcast costs be, a few cameras and a few commentators (todd ridley couldn't be on much dough! bless im..) This will affect sponsorship of clubs badly. the afl should throw their support behind the retention of the broadcasts, strong feeder competitions are vital. but of course demetriou couldn't give a stuff about the health of wa or sa footy, he only cares about victoria, nsw and queensland.
