Legal immigrants and naturalized citizens don't hate illegals. They hate their citizen action groups. A particularly noticeable tendency amongst Hispanic citizens. The idea that there's only a river to cross as opposed to an ocean should give carte blanche without obeying the law is arrogant at best. The idea that educated or highly skilled labor should be given preference in the immigration process is simply good sense. ...and how many immigration attorneys in the South-west aren't of Hispanic heritage? I'd guess not many.
