This is pretty spooky, but I'm with him about having mixed feelings ...

That’s why I have mixed feelings when I read about the stupid decisions made by legislatures in California, Illinois, and Connecticut. All three states’ politicians continue pandering to public sector unions, and their citizens are suffering for it. But maybe in their misgovernance they will prove to be useful idiots.
