We speak pretty freely with this one company we deal with. We know the owner, we know the sales reps.. We have friends in common. We've been dealing with them for a decade and we go to their events, training seminars, etc..

So, in that context, there are these assemblies we go through quite a few of. We get them through this supplier. They're re-manufactured in the US. The quality is terrific. I've installed thousands of these without a single failure. You can save a little by using foreign parts, but these are fine, and they work and they're not priced bad and are done here.. So why mess with something that works, you know?

Lately, I've been having a little trouble getting hold of these assemblies. Yesterday, I couldn't get one at all.

And since we speak pretty freely with them, we asked what the problem was and expressed our disappointment. The reply was that THEIR supplier of the assemblies (Which they buy in huge quantities to distribute to people like me) was having trouble producing them.

Incidentally, our supplier used to own this company.. and they're very familiar with it.

The reason they are having trouble producing these assemblies? They're in Alabama.. And Alabama just passed a very tough immigration law. So, the owner of this company, not wanting to get into any trouble, asked all the employees to provide him with proof of us citizenship to keep on file.. And the entire workforce didn't show back up after that, which shut down production.

When we asked why they didn't just hire some white people, they laughed (Like I said, I'm pretty open about my racism) and said it's a real problem there.. It seems that so many people are on some kind of public assistance, or they're living fat on their 99 week unemployment checks, that they don't want to work and it's tough to hire them.

The spic illegals can't get these benefits, so they'll show up and work, but they are illegals and the owner will get in trouble if he does hire them.

Do you think this is what liberals envision when screaming about protecting the "social safety net"
