his stance on defense kills him with many conservatives...
Frankly, that is because most "conservatives" have their heads in their ass when it comes to security.. Arguably, there are areas we want LESS secure right now.. Not MORE secure.. Security = investment.

As I said in another thread, if anyone truly believes that would get elected, and then intentionally fight everything the Tea Party & other conservatives in Congress want him to do, ensuring that he would not get re-elected, I'd love to see the logic behind that thinking. It's simple.. Vested interests won't benefit from the kind of change this country needs. They will lose... so they will fight it vigorously.

They will do this for money.. Because they are corrupt. is their champion.

Obama had to pander to his base when elected because he knew that it was the only way to get re-elected, even if he thought Obamacare and Dodd/Frank were really bad ideas. would do exactly the same thing. Obama sold out his base.. will do the same thing.

If Mitt hasn't had an 11th hour conversion, and he's just politicking, he's going to be an unMITTigated disaster for the country and the party.. 4 more years of Obama with a Republican Congress would be a better long term outcome.

I don't want that.. But it's true.

Mitt fucks up, the R's will be swept out of power in 2 years... and you can't do much with an unpopular, squish as President and no Congress.. He's not a King.. (Yet)
