it makes No Difference in the way our gov/society is moving/falling/doing?

From my point of view,
it didn't make any dif with Bush II,
nor would it have made any dif with McCain,

and, imho, it won't, with .

Not trying to put you on the spot but how did you arrive at the conclusion that it would have made no difference with McCain?
