Requiring identification for voting isn't a poll tax or any test for that matter.
It's just a common sense safeguard against fraud.
Make the voter ID cards a photo ID.
Make vote fraud and voter fraud capital offenses.

It may not be a "poll tax" per se but if we charged about $40 for the Voter ID and added a literacy test to it we could weed out the weak links right off the bat. If someone cannot get thru a basic literacy test why should they have a voice in determining the leader of this country?
