I'm in the middle of my conversion process. It will probably take another 2 years. I'm knee deep in the Torah and loving every minute of it. And I confirmed, you don't have to learn Yiddish, but it helps.

If you want to be a real Jew you'll have to immerse yourself in the Babylonian Talmud. It's only there that you will learn the true nature of the Jewish religion.
